This God We ServeThis God We Serve, by Wm. J. Morford, is as inspiring compilation of Names and Characteristics of God that provides as inexhaustible resource for anyone who desires to know more about our Loving Heavenly Father. Rev. Morford, noted theologian, biblical scholar and translator of the Greek New Testament, believes that God is the same yesterday, today and forever – and that the gifts of the Spirit should be just as powerful today as when Jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago.

This God We Serve is foundational for believers who go on with the Lord in seeking the fullness of the Spirit in a greater and ever-increasing measure. He has drawn from Jewish and biblical-historic sources, and from his other major contribution, The Power New Testament, 3rd Edition, that has ministered to thousands. This God We Serve introduces over 420 Names of God to complement The Power New Testament with its 1700 footnotes and expanded glossary.

God's Rhythm of LifeGod’s Rhythm of Life, by Wm. J. Morford, explains the Seasons of the Lord as given in Leviticus 23. The traditions of the Jewish people are described so we can see spiritual meanings in these Holy days. This book encourages churches to return to the Scriptures and to obey the Lord’s commands to observe His Seasons. God’s Rhythm of Life exhorts believers to seek Divine wisdom in following Scripture to celebrate the same Holy Days that Jesus celebrated.

  2. Dear Mr.Morford; I am a Messianic Pastor and I was teaching on Mark 5:41-43 Then HE took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Tallit Arise.” I have come under scruninty for teaching this. Could you help me in defending this meaning – Tallit Arise! I love this Bible – I have learned so much with all the commentaries. I would appreciate any wisdom you could give me.
    Shalom

    • Shalom Pastor Steve,

Thank you for asking. Tradition plays a big part in this because the early translators knew nothing about Jewish roots and could not have imagined that this had anything to do with a prayer shawl. That y’shua was wearing a talit is known from the woman with the flow of blood who touched the tsit-tsit. He would have worn that every day. The Greek word in v. 41 is Talitha, the Greek spelling of Talit, but the Greek English lexicons say that is an Aramaic word for Girl. The Aramaic word is Talyata, which means Young Woman, not girl. The extra syllable in Talyata is missing from the Greek and that makes the word the Greek spelling of Talit, Prayer Shawl. Speaking to the Prayer Shawl would have been a relatively common practice.

I assume you have read the article Prayer Shawl in Glossary.

  4. I love the one new man Bible. For me it has excited me to get back in the word more. My question is, will there be an android app coming? I love to have the book itself but it would be awesome to have a daily verse app or daily study/Torah reading app that I could read while I’m working. Thanks again, this is my favorite “translation”.

  5. Mr. Morford,

I have both the OneNewMan Bible & this GOD we serve book. My question pertains to your credentials: Did you go to a Seminary? If so which one? What are your doctrinal beliefs? Where is your statement of Faith? Why should I trust these publications? Can you refer me to your colleagues who are well known and well respected in today’s Biblical Scholarly circles.

    Thank you for your answers.

    • Hi Leonard,

Thank you for writing. My credentials are in my writing, in the substance of various writings in This God We Serve, in God’s Rhythm of Life, and in articles in the Glossary of the bible. The accuracy of the translation of the bible is a strong indication of my beliefs, because that is in the Word, not in going by denominational doctrines. My formal studies have been in the languages, with three men with PhDs, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda for Hebrew, and Arnold Gause for Greek, plus six months of study with Henry Evans. The languages are the key to biblical study, not what others say about various studies. My statement of faith is given in God Incarnate in Glossary, as well as other articles, including Covenants. For decades I said the Apostles Creed at least once a week, but now my faith is even deeper than that. Relationship with God is the goal, so our Heavenly Father and people on earth can say about me that I love God, as with Abraham in Isaiah 41:8 and 2 Chronicles 20:7.

Years ago a professor at a major university taught a course on a teaching of Jesus, using the Power New Testament as his text because it was the only New Testament he knew to be without denominational bias. That was my translation of the Greek, now incorporated in the whole bible. My goal for One New Man Bible is for TRUTH, not any doctrinal persuasion, just the pure Word.

    • Hi Terry,

Thank you for writing. That is a question only the publisher can answer. Personally I suspect Spanish will be the first translation, but I do not know of any now in the works. You can contact the publisher at info@tppress.com
